Why do organizations need to nail down their strategies?

One of the things that organizations can do is to have a very clear strategy and set of objectives at the very top. Because that allows people, that allows all the leaders further down to actually focus and prioritize correctly.

It is a real difficult thing to be managers inside of an organization where the top is not clear about the strategy because then you have to do so many different things and moving in different directions and it becomes extremely difficult to focus and we know that focusing is what drives effectiveness and the best performance.
